The Pursuit of the Good Shepherd

Hi, my name is David Meyer. I've been a Crossworld worker here in Ecuador, South America for the past 20 years. One of the advantages of having served in the same location for such a long time is the ability to see how God has worked through the lives of some of our members in our church from the time they were young children through adulthood.
One example of that testimony is a young man named John, who was a part of our congregation, now 24 years old, who started attending our kids clubs and our Vacation Bible schools when he was 7 or 8 years old. But unfortunately, once he graduated high school, he drifted away from us and away from God in many different ways.
However, recently, God has been working in his life to bring him back to himself. We've seen John coming to church. He's openly exploring and looking for answers in his walk with God. And recently, he offered to help us paint a mural on one of the walls of our church building that portrays the lost sheep being carried over the shoulders of the good shepherd, who left the 99 to go in search of him.
And John really painted this image as a testimony of his own life, and how his Savior sought after him, even when he was far, far away. It's been an incredible blessing to serve alongside of him, to be a counselor and a mentor. And we are just rejoicing with God for these decisions that he's making and his progress in his walk with Christ.
