The Power of Multiplication

How long would it take to fill the earth with disciples if we actually did what Jesus instructed us to do? We've been at it now for about two thousand years. Would two or three hundred more suffice? When Jesus first gave that command, the world population was estimated to be about 137 million people. That just happens to be the number of people who are now born into the world every year! (John 15:18) The fact is that the more you look like the One whose name you bear, the more likely it is that you will be treated like Him. This is not a shame, but rather a blessing. Peter wrote: "If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you." (1 Peter 4:14).
