Brazil: The limping Body of Christ
Bill and Kathy are church planters in Campo Novo do Parecis, Brazil. God has given them a very special group of believers to work with in recent years.
Bill writes, “Please keep our struggling little church family in your prayers.
Of 30+ people, very few are legally married. Three of the mothers had babies at about 14. One unmarried man on drugs is fighting with a woman who is secretly going through a legal separation process.
A new convert, 20, is dating a girl, 13, who is also a new convert--with their parents’ approval.
Another “live in” couple left three children in another city with her mother last April; she does not want to raise them or bring them here.
Two other couples cannot read.
Yet these are the people God brought into our lives to love and teach. Through His Word, most of them have made professions of faith. We know God is at work. Jesus said - I will build my church."
