Mission trips provide a great opportunity to get involved in service to God in another country, culture and context. This is not always an easy experience. But many short-term missionaries will tell you that they learned to trust God in a new and deeper way while on a missions trip. A side benefit, of course, is the adventure of learning to live and love others in a setting completely different from your own.

For some, a missions trip is the first step in becoming a missionary long term. Others see missions trips as a great way to spend their vacation time and money in a way that brings the love of God and the gospel to others. But nearly everyone returns from a missions trip with a deeper understanding and commitment to world missions, whether in prayer, in sacrificial giving or in becoming a missionary.
