Next Team is the edge of mission: "So, are you ready now?"
The one word that Kevin and Ashley use as they discuss their Next Team experience is "big."
Seeing "the heart of CrossWorld leadership" helped them see God's big intentions for the world and for themselves. They did not want to be told where they should go in the world, but they also did not want to make that decision on their own.
"On that weekend we found people we could trust, who prayed, and who would receive us as family." They heard presentations by international directors and team leaders, and had time to talk about their decision. The relationships they began on that weekend led to their intentional commitment to missionary work through CrossWorld.
Next Team is high-stakes questioning, a serious challenge to commitment, a weekend of relationship building with CrossWorld leadership and a strategic move into missionary ministry.
Since that time, this late 20's couple and their children have gone through CrossWorld's candidate and assessment process, gone on location in Asia, and, along with their international director have developed a plan that puts them on site and in ministry next year.
Why does CrossWorld do this?
We are a missionary force of 350, all over the world. But we are also a community of disciples who welcome any who are grappling with the many questions involved in going out with the gospel.
Help us bring the message of the cross, the hope of the world to unreached people.
Pray for the role our Next Team weekends play in the decisions men and women are making about investing their lives in gospel work.
And give a financial gift to help meet the $25,000 annual cost to keep our mentoring current and relevant.
Goal: $25,000
