Crisis Contingency Training

How do you plan for stress, floods, or political unrest?

Serving on the field in a post-9/11 environment requires more than it used to. That's not to say missions agencies weren't thoughtful about the safety of those on the field before. But the current standards of preparedness are certainly more focused and heightened. And with more teams going to more high risk locations, CrossWorld is working harder in this area.

A crisis is defined as an event or situation which may cause significant physical, emotional, or spiritual injury to personnel, or that threatens the ministry objectives of CrossWorld, or that may be consequent to political activity, criminal activity, accidents, natural disasters, or even a result of personal sin.

Once a solid foundation of policy, risk awareness and assessment, and contingency planning is in place, teams are able to make good decisions in the moment of crisis.

Being prepared takes vigilance. Because missions work is dynamic, new personnel, new fields of service, and new circumstances means the training cycle continues each year. And with that comes cost.

Help us bring the message of the cross, the hope of the world to unreached people. Pray for our teams to make wise decisions. And give a financial gift to help meet the $10,000 annual cost to keep our training current and relevant.
