| Description: | In this country of incredible poverty and hardship, God is calling people to himself. The ways in which to help Haitians are basically without limit. Currently, there are opportunities for 1-2 families and/or singles to engage in a sports ministry program. CrossWorld is partnering with other organizations to bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the youth of Haiti through a soccer ministry. Over the past 3 years, Ambassadors in Sport, and International Soccer Ministry, based near Cleveland, Ohio (www.aisint.org) has been working with us to establish a branch of their soccer ministry in Haiti. Since three of AIS’s key leaders grew up playing soccer as the children of missionaries to Haiti, they have always wanted to start a soccer ministry in Haiti. Now we are partnering with them in Haiti and helping them fulfill this vision. What a way to reach the youth of this country which so badly needs the life-giving gospel of Jesus. |
| Project Overview: | CrossWorld missionaries have labored for over 60 years in partnership with the Union of Evangelical Baptist Churches of Haiti (UEBH). More than 300 churches indicate a movement to the glory of God. CrossWorld ministries today are concentrated in theological education (seminary in Port-au- Prince), ministry to the downtrodden, community development and children’s ministries (House of Hope), all in the name of Jesus. |
