| Description: | Part of the ministry in this part of Bosnia is through the "Hope Community Center." Your role will be to teach different sports. This will attract kids of all ages and give them something fun and meaningful to do, as well as providing them with something to look forward to each day. In this way, you are building bridges to kids and their families. As you live out your faith, you will find opportunity to interact in a meaningful way with these families. Although the war has been over for a while, the country looks like it just came out of the war. You will find houses that still look like the day they were bombed. The people of Bosnia have suffered much, and there are many opportunities for you to live out the love and compassion of Christ to them. |
| Project Overview: | CrossWorld entered war-torn Bosnia in 1993 and since then, missionaries have been building relationships through a community outreach center. Missionaries concentrate on making friends and helping individuals and families rebuild their homes and lives. The community center is in an area where we are the only evangelical presence and helps provide training for Bosnians who are 90% unemployed. |
