| Description: | Grace Church, a multi-ethnic church in Vienna, Austria is seeking an English -speaking experienced pastor to lead the congregation in a transition process for 3 years. The local team of elders desires to see the church become autonomous, but are asking for help in training new leadership. Gifts and skills needed: training, mentoring and pastoral care. The congregation includes Filipino, African and Iranian fellowships, as well as significant groups of Anglo-saxons and English- speaking Austrians. |
| Project Overview: | Because the capital city, Vienna (population of 2 million), is a cosmopolitan and international city, there are many diverse ministry opportunities to many ethnic groups and nationalities. Missionaries serve an international church and make evangelistic contacts in various ways. The ministry is also a staging area for short-term teams to Eastern Europe, thus giving a vision to many in this international community. Vienna is also the site of an international Christian school, Vienna Christian School. The school not only serves MKs, but also is a catalyst for evangelism to unreached families. Teachers are often needed and find it a satisfying ministry to reach those who have never heard the good news. |
