General Strategy: Our goals for this area of Brazil are:Provide a Bible Conference Center (Abaetetuba) for leadership training and deeper church development.Partner with other organizations to reach an unreached people group (Atikum).Provide teachers in formal (Seminary in São Luis) and informal leadership training situations.Serve the church with a ministry to street kids in several northern cities.Assist the church with church planters in targeted locations.
Type of Ministry
Ministry Type: CrossWorld missionaries in the north/northeast of Brazil (Belém field) have been used of God to plant churches which have developed into a fellowship of more than 150 churches. We also pioneered work among several indigenous people groups. Other significant ministries include ethnic ministries with Japanese Brazilians, literacy, MK education, radio, street children, theological training.
