General Strategy
General Strategy: We would love to see internationals come to Christ in this key city and return to their countries of origin to share Christ, thus facilitating church planting movements in places where traditional missionaries cannot go. We see this happening through a vibrant international church and in the educational context of Vienna Christian School. We also look forward to the day when nationals of Europe carry the banner of this challenge.
Type of Ministry
Ministry Type: Because the capital city, Vienna (population of 2 million), is a cosmopolitan and international city, there are many diverse ministry opportunities to many ethnic groups and nationalities. Missionaries serve an international church and make evangelistic contacts in various ways. The ministry is also a staging area for short-term teams to Eastern Europe, thus giving a vision to many in this international community. Vienna is also the site of an international Christian school, Vienna Christian School. The school not only serves MKs, but also is a catalyst for evangelism to unreached families. Teachers are often needed and find it a satisfying ministry to reach those who have never heard the good news.
